Evacuation Map

A mandatory evacuation order is in effect for all mobile homes, barrier islands, all of Zone A, Zone B, and portions of Zone C.

The barrier islands include:

  • Bal Harbour
  • Bay Harbour Islands
  • Golden Beach
  • Indian Creek Village
  • Miami Beach
  • North Bay Village
  • Sunny Isles Beach
  • Surfside

Residents living in the portions of Zone C south of Coral Way should be preparing to evacuate

Shelters in the County

Miami-Dade County will be opening 13 additional shelters to better accommodate residents evacuating their homes. The 13 additional shelters will be announced in the morning from the Emergency Operations Center.

These shelters are currently open:

Metrobuses will be picking up residents and taking them to open shelters until 10 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7. Buses will resume picking up residents at 7 a.m. tomorrow.
